Taking a proactive stance on life, the Riverside United Methodist Church in Park Rapids, MN recently made the heart safe decision to purchase an AED. Gary Gauldin, Chair, Board of Trustees for the Church said, "This was a decision we made to ensure that we help protect our members from sudden cardiac death". Along with the decision to purchase the AED, Riverside scheduled a CPR-AED training program for their staff and church members that wanted to learn how to use the new life saving defibrillator. Life Signs Plus completed the training and delivered their new HeartSine samaritan PAD AED and their new HeartCase Sto-n-Go wall cabinet. The AED was immediately installed in the lobby of the Church for everyone to see and get familiar with.
What's unique about this move for Riverside is the fact they made this decision in advance of anyone having an incident while in the building. Life Signs Plus applauded the proactive effort of the staff at Riverside and is pleased to be their choice for supplies and training.
